About this event
Would you like to join a creative writing workshop where you will be guided to create work that is inspired by nature, William Morris and May Morris’ work? Then we have the perfect workshop for you. Spend the day in the tranquillity of our museum and garden as you will be guided by Maggie as she explains the history of nature writing and its relevance in the world today. The session will include a focus on Kelmscott House, where participants will delve into its rich history and heritage in ways that will help inspire writing. As part of the workshop you will learn nature writing techniques, observation of nature and listening skills, reflective journaling/note taking and Maggie will include reading excerpts from writers including William Morris and Christina Rosetti. You will also receive a notebook and pen included in your ticket price.
