Elchin Shirinov Trio

Elchin Shirinov is an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist, composer and arranger from Azerbaijan, known for his lyrical touch and distinctive trio sound. A former member of Avishai Cohen’s trio, he has performed at leading venues and festivals worldwide, including Blue Note New York, Blue Note Tokyo, PizzaExpress Live Soho, and Jazz à Vienne. His music blends rich storytelling with refined interplay, creating an intimate and transparent trio experience. Joined by outstanding musicians Ben Hazleton and Amir Bresler, this performance promises expressive compositions, dynamic improvisation, and a deeply engaging live set. Elchin Shirinov is a jazz pianist, composer and arranger originally from Azerbaijan, recognised for his expressive playing and refined trio aesthetics. He was included in All About Jazz’s December 2022 poll of the top 200 favourite living pianists in the world. From 2018 to October 2022, Elchin was a member of Avishai Cohen’s renowned trio, with whom he recorded three albums and toured extensively across major international venues and festivals. These include Blue Note New York, Blue Note Tokyo, PizzaExpress Jazz Club Soho, Tokyo Jazz Festival, Jazz à Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Berlin Philharmonie, and Paris Jazz Festival. Elchin began his career in Azerbaijan and was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan in 2018.
