Year 12’s and staff members at St John’s Catholic Comprehensive will be partaking in their annual Sleep Out to raise money for the Gravesham Sanctuary and raise awareness of the plight of the homeless. See the poster Showing solidarity with those experiencing homelessness. The SVP would like to engage with our young people to raise awareness of the issues surrounding homelessness in England and Wales. This experience will not only give our young people a better understanding of what thousands experience every day, it will also give them the opportunity to turn their concern into action by raising vital funds which enables the SVP to continue to support the most vulnerable and socially excluded in our communities.
