Our knitting group is buzzing with creativity and kindness! Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or just casting on for the first time, you’ll be joining a warm, friendly community that knits with purpose. Not only do we enjoy cups of tea, chatter and plenty of woolly inspiration — we knit for good causes all year round. One of our most cherished projects is creating tiny hats, blankets and comfort items for the St Mary’s Hospital NICU, supporting premature and vulnerable babies and their families when they need it most. From community charities to local outreach projects, our needles are always clicking for someone in need. Come along, get involved, and help us spread warmth, one stitch at a time!

Tell Me a Story

Join us every Thursday morning for Tell Me a Story, our warm and welcoming story and rhyme time for pre-schoolers and their parents and carers. Each week we share favourite picture books, lively rhymes, and gentle songs that little ones love – helping them build early language skills and a lifelong love of stories. There’s time to play, chat, and connect with other local families too. It’s free, fun, and perfect for children aged 0–4 and their grown-ups. No need to book – just drop in and join the storytelling magic!

Core-Based Yoga with Susie Blackie

Beginner and open yoga classes for the Older and Wiser people of our community, where STRENGTH, BALANCE and AGILITY can be a challenge but is so important as we age. These classes are held in the brand new light and airy, super-clean space at the new library. The cafe is usually open for coffee. This is a great way to share time with like-minded people in a safe, relaxed and friendly environment. These classes aim to balance the mind and body with the exploration of physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation. Please bring your own mat and block. Wear relaxed, light clothing to explore yoga and perhaps see the world in a slightly different way.

CrickleSingers Community Choir

Love to sing? Come and join CrickleSingers — a warm, welcoming community choir based at Cricklewood Library. No auditions, no need to read music — just enthusiasm and a willingness to have fun! We meet on Thursday evenings during term time to sing an eclectic mix of music — from Icelandic and Hungarian gems to pop, folk, classical, and everything in between. Under the joyful direction of Enda Henehan, our delightful Musical Director, rehearsals are full of laughter and discovery. CrickleSingers is as much about community as it is about music — with regular social events and twice-yearly performances to share what we’ve been working on. Whether you’re a seasoned singer or a complete beginner, come along and add your voice to the mix! There will be a chance to sample the delights of singing with us before committing. New joiners can start within the first two weeks of any term. Affordable fees payable termly in advance.

Crickleukers Bi-Monthly Uke Jam

This is CrickleUkers – our FREE bi-monthly (first and third Fridays) ukulele jam and sing-along. Meet at the library for an hour of plucking, strumming, singing and jamming. Experienced volunteers will guide us through the chords towards the production of beautiful tunes. And we’ll have a great old time doing it! If you’re a complete beginner, Brendan is on hand to help with the beginner chords. We also have a few spare ukes to lend out, so no need to have your own, but if you have your own, do bring it. There are also some tuners and we’ll provide a few uke tab sheets, but it’s better if you can access the songsheets we’ll be using onto your phone or tablet. We will use the songbook kindly provided by Ukulele Wednesdays (Songbook 4), which you can find here. Places are limited for fire safety purposes, so please do register. If you can come a few minutes early to help set seats out, and to tidy up afterwards, so much the better – this is a volunteer-led activity and we all have homes to go to…..

The Petite Performers - Baby Ballet

Drop off for children 3-4 years old: Bella Ballet twirls your child through stories and games, opening up the world of creative movement using your child’s imagination, personalised songs, props and ballet vocabulary. Your child will learn lots of new skills like counting, balancing, coordination, taking turns and lots more. Watch as your Petite Performer’s confidence really does soar. Heather Butt is a registered teacher with the British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA). She has experience of teaching children for ten years and has great enthusiasm to share her love of dance, singing and acting with your children.
