About this event
East Riddlesden Hall has had many colourful residents in the last 400 years, from the Murgatroyd's and their ambitious building plans to the tenant farmers with award winning cattle. Step inside this 17th century farming manor for free on Heritage Open Days and discover their stories. Visit the tearoom for delicious homemade cakes, sandwiches and lunches or pack up a picnic and head to our outdoor picnic areas. Wander through beautiful gardens, including the formal gardens where you can pull up a deckchair and soak up the sunshine - weather permitting! East Riddlesden Hall has two play areas for our younger visitors, a trim trail to test your balancing and climbing skills and the Discovery Garden - complete with a mud pie kitchen, castle, boat and wheelbarrows. The perfect place to let your imagination run wild. Enjoy a gentle stroll along the river bank and lower fields, see what wildlife you can spot along the waters edge. Guided tours of the house are at 11am and 1:30pm. Numbers are limited to 15 people.
