About this event

Abstract Painting in the Gardens of Mount Ephraim - from Kim O'Neil One‑day workshop • Thursday 6 August • £35 (includes garden entry) Demonstration at 11am Step into the sweeping gardens of Mount Ephraim House for a full day of expressive, nature‑led painting. This immersive workshop invites you to slow down and let the landscape guide your creativity as you develop an abstract painting inspired by the colours, textures, and atmosphere of these beautiful grounds. Working outdoors (with plenty of sheltered spots if needed), Kim will share a live demonstration at 11am, exploring techniques for capturing the essence of foliage, the shimmer of water, and the soft movement of floral forms. You’ll experiment with mark‑making, layering, and intuitive colour choices to build a piece that reflects both the environment and your personal response to it. Whether you’re new to abstraction or looking to deepen your practice, this day offers a gentle balance of guidance, exploration, and creative freedom. Expect a relaxed, supportive atmosphere, time to roam the gardens, and the space to create something uniquely your own. A perfect summer escape for artists who want to paint with feeling, curiosity, and a touch of wildness. To book
