Woodworking Machinery Techniques and use

The machinery course is designed to let the student get a good all round feel of the different types of 240v cutting machines available. There is also going to be some time spent on safety and we shall show the importance of correct methods of working safely. We will change blades, bits, etc, on some machines and explain the functionality. If you are thinking of buying a machine, this course will give a better idea of what to expect when in use. The student will use the following machinery: 1. Bandsaw. 2. Router table. 3. Table saw 4. Plunge router. 5. Scroll saw. 6. Drill press. 7. Planner thickness 8. Oscillating sander. 9. Mitre saw (sliding compound). 10. Electric hand plane and Circular saw (5 inch blade).
