Mosaic Culture Hub is thrilled to invite you to the film evening at Mosaic Jewish Community For a viewing of “Lee” Click “more” below for details of the film. Film MOSAIC is open to anyone, why not bring a friend. There will be time for an informal discussion or a chat with friends, with tea, coffee and biscuits after the screening. Donations for our chosen charity would be appreciated if you care to give. The amazing true story of Lee Miller’s (Kate Winslet) metamorphosis from a young fashion model in her 20’s to world-famous photo-journalist, immediately before and during World War II. In flashback, the film tells Lee’s story from her hedonistic modelling days in Europe to in June 1944 with the D-Day landing, then being one of the first and only female (photo) journalist to enter and see the true horrors of Dachau and Buchenwald, to her life in Britain as a Housewife and cookery expert after the War as she struggles with PTSD. We see and hear her story as told later in life to a young interviewer (Josh O’Connor). Co-starring Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, Alexander Skarsgard and Andy Samberg (Subtitles are available)
