About this event
If you’re looking for a gentle, welcoming yoga class designed with older adults in mind, we’d love you to join us. These beginner-friendly sessions focus on improving **strength, balance and agility** – all essential for maintaining confidence, mobility and independence as we age. Whether you’re completely new to yoga or returning after a break, you’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace in a safe, supportive and relaxed environment. Classes take place in the library’s bright, spacious and beautifully maintained community room, with our café usually open afterwards for coffee and a chat. Together we’ll explore gentle yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), relaxation and meditation to help improve physical wellbeing while calming the mind. Please bring your own yoga mat and block, and wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Come along, meet like-minded people and discover how yoga can help you feel stronger, steadier and more at ease in both body and mind.
