Martino Tirimo

“an inspiring poet of the piano” The Daily Telegraph Regarded by both critics and fellow artists as one of today’s most distinguished musicians, Martino Tirimo’s career started early. From age eight he was performing Concertos and at 12 conducted seven complete performances of ‘La Traviata’, with orchestra and soloists from La Scala, Milano. Born in Cyprus into a musical family, he first studied piano and violin with his father Dimitri, a distinguished violinist and opera conductor. After winning the Liszt Scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London at 16, he studied there and graduated with the highest honours, winning all prizes. He completed his studies at the Vienna Music Academy and finally with Gordon Green, whom he regarded as his greatest mentor. Victories at the international piano competitions in Munich and Geneva launched his international career. In 2010 alone, he gave more than 100 all-Chopin concerts including the complete works of Chopin at London’s Kings Place, described by critics as “a colossal feat”. He has performed all over the world with most major orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, Dresden Staatskapelle, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Bayerisher Rundfunk, Cleveland Orchestra, London Symphony, Philharmonia, all BBC and all other major UK orchestras, Chamber Orchestra of Europe and numerous others and has worked with distinguished conductors such as Barbirolli, Boult, Bychkov, Marriner, Masur, Norrington, Rattle and Kurt Sanderling. Performance begins – 8:30pm Tickets from £15 | Complimentary Tickets for Patrons Curated by Zhenya Strigalev Choose Table Seating & Dinner Service tickets to order from Pollini’s Jazz Set Menu directly to your table in the Sunbeam Theatre. We recommend arriving before 8pm to give you plenty of time to settle in and place your food and drink orders. Standing tickets emerging as the new Brazilian sound from the UK, Djangada’s funky piano trio reworkings of classics from Gilberto Gil and Dorival Caymmi has captivated audiences all over. Their dynamic trio interplay comes from years of performing together as a rhythm section and is a thrill to witness live; a blend of traditional Brazilian music with a jazz aesthetic that is lively and accessible, but with a deep sense of craft and musicality. Sam Watts (piano) and Matheus Nova (bass) have been playing together for several years and have formed the backbone of many brazilian rhythm sections in Europe over the years including those of Marcelo Andrade, Celeste Caramanna, Adriano Adewale, Luiz Morais, Luna Cohen, and Cosmo Sound Collective amongst others. When they met Marcinho Pereira (drums) in 2020 they decided to finally break out and do their own thing, and these years of musical communication and interplay are the foundation of the band’s sound. Well-Crafted Crafting Type in the Digital Age Created for London Tech Week- Crafting Type in the Digital Age invites...

Tickets £35 | Patron Tickets £25 We’re Continuing our Summer Craft Series with something special, in collaboration with our new partners, Well-Crafted . Discover where handcraft meets technology in this immersive, collaborative workshop created for London Tech Week . Crafting Type in the Digital Age invites participants to slow down, work with their hands, and explore how analogue processes can inform digital innovation. This engaging session explores the creative intersection of tactile making and digital design. You’ll begin by designing letterforms by hand, experimenting with shape, spacing, and rhythm, before contributing to a shared typeface that will be scanned and digitised. Along the way, the workshop encourages reflection on creativity in an AI-driven world—highlighting how slowness, experimentation, and materiality can deepen thinking and spark innovation. We’ll also have drinks from Wednesday’s Domaine to enjoy as you go, so you can fully unwind and ease into the experience. During the Workshop, You Will: Design and construct unique letterforms using paper-based, analogue techniques. Explore typographic principles including form, spacing, rhythm, and personality. Collaborate with others to build a collective typeface. See your work transformed from physical to digital through scanning and digitisation.
