HUG is a FREE Service available for ALL residents of Bexhill & Rother who are threatened with homelessness, in unstable housing, rough sleeping, or those who find themselves homeless... HUG help you connect with local Services, including health matters if you need them, we can contact local Agencies & also the local Council’s, & generally help you get through any immediate emergencies...

Volunteers Week celebration picnic

BOOK HERE Volunteers Week celebration picnic. An informal gathering of volunteers from Hastings and Rother. Rother Voluntary Action and Hastings Voluntary Action invite local groups and organisations to join us for a picnic to celebrate Volunteers Week (1-7 June 2026). Wednesday 3 June 2026 Ashburnham Place, walled garden, TN33 9NF (parking available, nearest station, Battle is a 5 mile,10 minute drive away) The team at Ashburnham Place have very generously given us the use of their beautiful walled garden for this event. We invite organisations to bring up to four volunteers and one coordinator. Bring your own picnic, fold out chairs, picnic blankets, food, cold drinks and flasks of hot drinks etc We will provide cakes and games! It’s simply a chance for volunteers to get together, relax and celebrate together in a beautiful place. We ask organisations to register each attendee (each volunteer and coordinator) separately for this event. Sorry this takes a bit longer but means that we have a full list of names. Spaces are limited so please be sure your volunteers will actually be able to attend before you register them.

LUDWIG: Beethoven unleashed! His days numbered, relentlessly pounding the keyboard, knowing he will never hear his final creation, Ludwig stands up to the occasion, grabs the mic, and sets the record straight! Fusing monodrama, melodrama, stand-up and virtuosic classical piano, raconteur, Mike Hatchard, is directed by West End, Broadway and Olivier winner, Guy Masterson. Concert trained Hatchard plays both the music and the man (bearing a startling resemblance both in looks and character) revealing the tempestuousness, tenderness, frustrations, futility and humour. Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start, Sunday 7 June, Wednesday 17 June, Thursday 18 June Tickets are £15 or £12 concessions, available online from WeGotTickets or from the Museum front desk.
