The Bereavement Journey Course
Workshops & Classes

The Bereavement Journey Course

If you have been bereaved and feel you may not have come to terms with your loss, we hope you will benefit from attending The Bereavement Journey® Each evening we will meet together to share a light meal before the course begins. Food will be served at 7pm with the course starting at 7:45pm, running until around 9pm. The Bereavement Journey® offers 15 films over 7 sessions, held weekly (not the 26th May) with a light meal and refreshments. Participants are placed in groups of 6-8 for discussion following the films, and volunteers guide them in exploring their loss, aided by a manual. The Bereavement Journey® is recommended Anyone 18 years+ for whom someone important has died at any time is welcome, this includes those who have experienced prenatal loses, a family member, friend or colleague. The Bereavement Journey® offers holistic support, we realise that grief can be very painful and The Bereavement Journey® has been designed to validate every person's experience and help them feel safe. There is no expectation to say or do anything. Participants make their own decisions about what feels right for them and they do their own grief work. To maximise the benefit, we recommend attendance at all six main sessions and that a trusted person is found to check in with after each session. The material ends with Session 6 and the 7th Session is optional for those who wish to explore spiritual questions which often arise in bereavement, or just listen to a Christian perspective.
