About this event
Duke Special, stage name of Belfast-born musician Peter Wilson, is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter known for theatrical piano pop blending cabaret, folk, and rock. Performing in bowler hats and waistcoats, he built a devoted following with emotionally rich storytelling and vintage flair. His breakthrough album Songs from the Deep Forest (2006) reached the UK Top 40 and earned nominations at the Meteor Music Awards. He later released I Never Thought This Day Would Come (2008) and collaborated with orchestras, theatre projects, and poets. Special has written stage works, including musical adaptations of Huckleberry Finn , and remains admired for live performances.
