About this event
Calling Barbers, Baristas, Florists, Woodworkers, Chefs, Blacksmiths, and Creatives of All Kinds… Get ready to roll up your sleeves and craft your own butter-soft, tough-as-nails leather apron in this unique one-day workshop. Whether you swing a hammer, arrange blooms or use blades in your craft - this apron is built to protect, endure, and go wherever your craft takes you. Led by expert leatherworker and trained bootmaker Catherine Edwards - whose experience includes a prestigious residency at the Royal Armouries—you’ll work with premium full-grain pigskin suede, solid brass fittings, and eco-tanned cowhides to create a one-of-a-kind piece that’s as durable as it is comfortable. This friendly, small-group workshop welcomes everyone from total beginners to improvers. You’ll learn foundational leather-working techniques including design, cutting, strap making, and hand stitching, with plenty of individual guidance throughout. By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with a handcrafted, professional-grade apron designed by you - from fit to finish.
