A circular morning walk taking in some fantastic views, whilst enjoying a wildlife rich, open area of wood pastures, ornate gardens and ancient trees; with a historic deer herd. Join our volunteer Ranger led walk across the estate to discover many hidden stories from the past and learn about some of the wildlife that calls Belton Park Home. Stroll along the river Witham, and amble through the Wilderness Gardens. Cut across the open parkland viewing the house from a distance to the HaHa, before venturing into the ornate Pleasure Gardens. Explore the less familiar areas of the park, discover a diverse range of habitats and get closer to nature while learning more about their natural surroundings and the conservation work being undertaken. Distance: 5km, this walk will take between 2-3 hours

Belton Estate’s first Literary Festival will celebrate the amazing collection of books in Belton’s care with a fantastic series of themed events! From an art installation in the house, to a stunning garden display of illustrations from A Story of the Seasons and in-person event with its illustrator Carolina Rabei, outdoor theatre, a big second-hand book sale, and period dance performances by the local Bonnets and Breeches Society! Festival displays: Grantham Arts House Installation - A display of artworks inspired by a selection of the books in Belton’s collection and created by the talented local artists at Grantham Arts. A Story of the Seasons - Pages from A Story of the Seasons, with stunning illustrations by Carolina Rabei, on display in large format along the East Lawn in the gardens.
