Unpack the Christian faith together. Meet new people and explore the Christian faith together. Alpha is for anyone who's curious. No judgement, no pressure. Each session unpacks a big question of life, faith and purpose, and is designed to spark conversation. The short course runs over 8 sessions - each week unpacking a different BIG question around the Christian Faith. No need to commit to them all. Just come along to the first one and see what you think. The experience is open to everyone, no matter their background or beliefs. Alpha is simply a safe space to meet new people, find out the basics, and share thoughts. Starting on 21 May at 7.15pm, we will enjoy a delicious meal together in the café, before watching a short video and then delving into those BIG questions. There is no charge, no pressure and no judgement. Just open conversation over some good food. That's it. Sign up below to come along and see what you think.

Little Kids Baby Play

Little Kids Baby Play Wednesdays (term time) 10:00am – 11:30am St. George's Church (Parish Room) Join us for a time when under-1s can freely play and parents can chat with others while enjoying a cup of tea. At the end of the session, we join in with Toddler Play next door for a joint time of singing. Once the session finishes, many families stay on and have lunch together in our café The session is £2.00per family/childcarer and includes a drink and a snack.

Little Kids Toddler Play Wednesdays (term time) �� 10:00am – 11:30am St. George's Church Our vision for this group is that parents can meet lifelong friends with children of the same age. During the session, we encourage this by having free play for all, as well as crafts. We then finish off with a gathered time of singing. Once the session finishes, lots of families stay on and have lunch together in our café. The session is £2.00 per family/ child carer with a maximum of 3 children. (If you are responsible for more than 3 children, please book an additional ticket for your adult helper; children can not be shared across childcare settings)

Little Kids and Baby Play

Little Kids and Baby Play Wednesdays (term time) �� 10:00am – 11:30am St. George's Church Our vision is to create a welcoming space where parents can build lasting friendships with families at the same stage of life. We now meet in the main church, with sessions including free play, crafts, singing time, and a separate cosy sofa area for babies. Many families also stay afterwards to enjoy lunch together in our café. Sessions cost £2 per family/carer for up to 3 children. If you are responsible for more than 3 children, please book an additional ticket for another adult helper, as children cannot be shared across childcare settings.

Ashtead Community Choir

Ashtead Community Choir is a free lunchtime community choir for adults. Its members include: those working from home who would like a break from the desks during the day people who are retired or working part-time those who are in between jobs or not working for health reasons parents/carers seeking respite and relaxation away from their caring responsibilities The choir meets weekly on Wednesdays during term time from 1-1.45pm in St George's Church. The aim of the choir is to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience of singing with others. There is no audition, members do not need to be able to read music, and performances are infrequent, low key and informal. The choir's repertoire includes inspirational and sacred music in styles such as gospel, jazz, pop, folk (from the British Isles and beyond) and light classical music – anything that will spark joy for a group of mixed ability singers! If you are interested in joining, you are welcome to come to a rehearsal to see whether it might be for you. The choir is part of the choral outreach programme at St Giles' and St George's, Ashtead, but church membership is not a requirement and we welcome people of all faiths and none.

Thursdays during term time | 6:30 – 7:40pm A space for School Years 6–9 to chill, connect, and grow in faith. Each week includes fun activities, followed by a chance to pause and reflect on a Bible verse and what it means for everyday life.

Thursdays during term time | 7:45–9:00pm This is a space for School Years 9–13 to dig into the Bible and explore the Christian Values that SGSG keep close to heart. Each session is all about connecting your everyday life with God's bigger story. Bring your questions, doubts, and ideas—we'll explore them together in a relaxed, friendly space (with snacks, of course). Real talk. Real faith. Real life.
