Have a go at a heritage craft in this one day workshop to weave your own rustic foraging basket. This workshop is perfect for beginners and an ideal introduction to weaving with willow. Your simply made basket would be useful gathering produce, flowers from a garden or gathering from an allotment or on a walk. We will be weaving at a gentle pace step by step with plenty of one to one tuition in a friendly small group. Weaving with a natural material such as willow is a very rewarding and grounding experience. Find out about the many varieties of willow grown and its long history of use. All materials are provided but if you would like to bring your own secateurs and gardening gloves please do. Hot drinks are provided, please bring a packed lunch. This workshop takes place on Sunday 5th July 10.30am - 4.30pm.
