This guided meditation group creates a unique space for LGBTQ+ people to foster friendship and practice meditation. The sessions will feature a variety of mindfulness, loving-kindness and wisdom meditations. There’ll also be sharing and connecting, poetry and more. Through this, we’ll cultivate a warm awareness of our own experience and go beyond the individual to explore how we can grow and flourish as a community. There’ll also be the option to socialise in the cafe area after. No prior meditation experience required. Also suitable for those who are trying to establish a regular practice within a supportive environment. Sessions are free, with an optional donation towards establishing a permanent LGBTQ+ community centre. Please note that we are unable to refund donations. During this session, the cafe will be closed. Please ensure that you register before attending. About the facilitators Community Meditation is led by a group of rotating facilitators who come from various backgrounds and practices. Accessibility The Centre’s accessibility statement is here. Weekly Muay Thai Self-Defence classes focused on building confidence, communication, and empowerment in a supportive, judgement-free space. Karina’s Muay Thai classes focus on building confidence, communication, and empowerment in a supportive, judgement-free space. Students are encouraged to train at their own pace while building physical strength, fitness, and practical skills. Through interactive drills, partner work, and teamwork, students develop coordination, resilience, and confidence—whether their goal is fitness, self-defence, or training to compete in the long term. These sessions are funded by the London Marathon Foundation. About the facilitator Born in Hong Kong, Karina began her martial arts journey at 4 years old. With over 18 years of training and competition across multiple countries, she brings a versatile background in Muay Thai, Taekwondo, K1, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Her adaptable style blends technical skill, fitness, and fun. Karina’s classes are a safe, welcoming space with no judgement – only encouragement. Every student is supported to train at their own pace, with coaching tailored to personal goals, whether that’s improving fitness, building confidence, learning self-defence, or developing skills for competitions. LGBTQ+ Improv Workshop

A drop-in workshop for LGBTQ+ people. No experience necessary! A drop-in workshop for LGBTQ+ people of any experience level. Improv is all about collaboration and saying yes to people’s ideas. Follow your spontaneity, trust your gut and you’ll be surprised at what worlds you can create. Improv is not just about being funny; improv is an amazing way to help people dealing with social anxiety or for people that want some practice feeling a little more free in their public speaking. This is a low-stakes workshop where we can share some laughs and maybe even make some new friends. Through games and exercises we’ll create stories, characters and learn the fundamentals of improvisation. Note: Please ensure that you arrive on time for this workshop. We will cover our code of conduct and accessibility in the first five minutes. Unfortunately we aren’t able to permit anyone who arrives late as it’s mandatory to take part in the first part of the session. Please get in touch with us if you know you’ll be running late and we will try to accommodate where we can! About the facilitator Sam Roulston (he/him) is an award winning Comedian and Writer based in London. He recently returned to the UK after living in Toronto for several years where he worked as a comedian and member of faculty at the Second City comedy theatre. Sam also performs/teaches at comedy festivals all over the world.

Kings for Life (Drawing) Class

A Drag King/Thing Life Drawing Workshop for artists to experience drag in a new way and drag artists to gain a new skill in life modelling. Join us for an exciting life drawing workshop dedicated to providing a platform for Drag Kings/Things to model and offering artists a unique experience in capturing the essence of drag through art. Our inclusive sessions cater to all skill levels, whether you’re a novice or a seasoned artist like the next David Hockney! Each pose is timed, and we may suggest different drawing techniques to inspire and warm up your artistic flow. What You’ll Need: Drawing Surface: Get creative—paper, an iPad, or cardboard boxes! Drawing Materials: Anything goes—pencils, charcoal, pastels, or paints. It’s a perfect opportunity to experiment and try something new! Pose breakdown will be 4 x 5 minutes, 2 x 10 minutes, 3 x 15 minutes, and 1 x 20 minutes (as time allows). Come along, settle in and drawing starts just after 3.30pm. Please bring your own materials (Although we generally have a few pads and pencils on hand in case!). All skill levels, genders and orientations are welcome. Important: Recording of the session is not permitted. As with all our sessions, Nudity is not part of this workshop.

Bi The Way (Over 50s)

A monthly 50+ social meetup for bisexual and pansexual folks at an intersectional, intergenerational and safer LGBTQ+ haven. Bi the Way is a dynamic monthly social group designed for bisexual and pansexual individuals to come together and connect. Our gatherings offer a warm and supportive environment where you can meet new friends, share your experiences, and celebrate your identity. The group gathers one Monday a month to host a variety of activities, discussions, and community events to foster a sense of belonging and fun. Whether you’re seeking meaningful conversations or just a good time with like-minded people, Bi the Way is the perfect place for you. Please note Bi the Way is taking place in May on Tuesday 13 at 6:30-8pm. About the facilitators: Sophie (she/her) lives in north London with her partner, in a flat filled with houseplants and books. Sophie has been working in policy and politics for almost ten years. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, hiking, going to the gym, and cooking while singing along (off-key)to music from the 60s and 70s. Mackenzie (she/her) lives in south London. She’s a graduate student working towards her PhD in Computer Science. Outside of her studies, she loves to run, swim, walk neighborhood dogs, cheer on Arsenal, listen to podcasts, read books, and eat her way around the city. Tiarna (she/her) lives in east London. She’s a PhD candidate working in biomedical engineering.
