Don't miss out on the fun and meaningful conversations! ORÚKỌ - (Name) - Celebrate who you are, where you come from and the words that carry you. Deep dive into the meaning and power behind Yorùbá names. Bring your name, learn its story. ÀṢÀ - Culture - Traditional attire showcase and proverbs that still hit today. MHSG is excited to be teaming up with the trailblazing community horticulturalists at Wolves Lane Centre in Wood Green, to offer a packed, free programme of tours and talks focused on: community growing a fairer, healthier, more sustainable food future the restoration of urban wetlands and increasingly vital Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) This fascinating 4-hour event will include: a guided tour of the 3.5 acre site by director Yvonne Field OBE an optional fresh, vegan lunch (£8 to £10 extra) expert talks from: Paulette Henry, co-founder of Ubele Initiative and their Black Rootz project (the UK’s first multigenerational Black-led growing project) Nick Oliver from WWT’s London Wetland’s Centre and an expert on SuDS, who will be discussing their work restoring these vital resources for carbon storage, biodiversity, natural habitat and flooding and pollution control Book your free tickets and find out more here and join us for a day of celebrating both SOUL and SOIL!
