This free face-to-face specialist training from St Clare Hospice equips healthcare professionals with the advanced knowledge and practical skills needed to train informal carers to administer subcutaneous (SC) medications to patients approaching end of life. Delivered by expert clinicians in palliative and end-of-life care, this Tier 2 course focuses on governance, communication, clinical safety and real-world challenges encountered in community, hospital and hospice settings. Who is this course for? This intermediate course is designed for healthcare professionals who regularly support patients in the last phase of life and who may be involved in enabling carers to administer SC medications in the home setting.
