Visitors to our open day will be able to find out about our conservation work in the Waveney Valley and meet our traditional farm animals that we use to manage our meadows. Come along to meet Suffolk Punch horses, Norfolk Horn and Grey-faced Dartmoor sheep, Bagot Goats, Miniature Donkeys and rare breed poultry. The team from BBC Radio Norfolk will be holding a gardeners question time between 11am and 1pm. Visitors will also be able to join our conservation partners from the Broads Authority for pond dipping and Waveney Bird Club for bird ringing demonstration. Refreshments will be available or bring a picnic. About this farm: At Shorelands we manage sites sustainably for wildlife. Our aim is to restore our meadows and those of our partners so that they are filled with the flowers, insects, mammals and birds, as they were in the past. We use traditional, regional, rare-breed livestock to maintain our sites and follow organic principles in their management. Highlights: Sheep; Poultry; Other livestock; Flowers and plants; Environmental stewardship Other livestock: Suffolk Punch Horses, Bagot Goats, Miniature Donkeys
