DEMENTIA FRIENDLY SOCIAL CLUB Mondays, 10:30am – 12:30pm A social group for people who are living with the early stages of dementia, are newly diagnosed, or are awaiting a diagnosis. All activities and lunch are provided. First session is free, after by a suggested donation of £5. Carers come free. CREATE (for 0-5 year olds & their parents/carers)

Weekly drop-in creative sessions for children (ages 0-5) with their parents/carers on Thursdays, 10am – 12pm Sessions also take place on Saturdays – click here for more information For families living in the local areas of Muirhouse, Pilton, Granton & Drylaw Places are available each week on a first-come, first served basis and we cannot guarantee a place at every session. We recommend arriving in good time for the start of the session to avoid disappointment. FREE but registration is required. Please COMPLETE THIS ONLINE FORM to register your child for CREATE. (If you have already completed a Child Registration Form for 2025/26, there’s no need to complete a new one.) About CREATE: CREATE is an art-making experience for early years, that engages parents and carers in messy play with the children, aged 5 and under, in their care. Running two mornings a week the project aims to provide active childhood experiences for adults and children. CREATE provides the resources, ideas and creative inspiration for a range of activities that can often be replicated in the home environment using recycled, low-cost and easily obtainable materials. No previous experience is needed, all abilities welcome! A healthy snack is provided for all attending. Sessions may take place indoors – or sometimes outdoors if weather permits!

Community Shed Sessions

Tuesday – Thursday, 10am – 2pm The Shed is a welcoming, safe space where people living in North Edinburgh can come to make or mend stuff using recycled wood. We aim to create a fun space where our members can meet new people, learn new skills, and feel supported to realise their creative ambitions. If you want to learn about wood-making, up-cycle your home furniture or make something new out of recycled wood, come and join us! Tools, space, and support will be provided. The Shed is open for old and new members, between Tuesday and Thursday, 10am to 2pm. This fortnightly group offers a welcoming space for men to come together, connect, and talk openly about what’s going on in their lives. Whether you’re dealing with something specific or just want a place to check in and be around others, you’re very welcome. The group is informal, supportive, and non-clinical. There’s no pressure to speak if you don’t feel ready, you can simply listen and take things at your own pace. It’s about creating a respectful environment where everyone feels comfortable being themselves. All conversations are confidential, and the group is supported by local volunteers who help facilitate a safe and inclusive space for everyone who attends.
