Our Bereavement Journey Course starts on Tuesday June 2nd for 7 weeks. It will run from 7.15-9.30pm, facilitated by Clare Jeffries and Carol Trower. It is for those bereaved recently or at any time (even as a child) who would like the space to think through their grief journey. The course is based around a series of videos followed by discussions in small groups, each led by an experienced facilitator. Selam on Thursdays

Emmanuel is proud to host SELAM, an English language class for women, run by women. It is a warm, friendly, informal class for all abilities. We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term-time in Emmanuel Centre. The class starts at 10am and finishes at 11:30am. All women are welcome, whatever your English-level – we have a creche for children under 5 who are welcome to come with you. The cost is £1 and includes refreshments. Ladies Badminton

A ladies-only badminton session running on Thursday afternoons from 1.30-3pm (term time only) in the Emmanuel Centre. Cost per session is £4. Whether you've not played for a long time or prefer to play at a more sedate pace, do contact us to find out more about our ladies Badminton session. We play for fun and to enjoy making new friends as most players are from the community, rather than Emmanuel. We don't take part in League matches. Bumps and Babies

Bumps and Babies is a group for mums and dads to come along and meet other parents of little ones little ones aged up to 18 months. It offers a space to chat with other parents, make friends and swap stories. There are baby toys available and mats for the babies to lie on. We guarantee a warm welcome, with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, and activities ranging from a simple 'toys and chat' to special taster sessions, e.g. baby sign and baby massage, footprint and pottery painting. The group runs on Thursday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm during term time. We ask for donations of £1 to cover costs. Come along and visit us at any time. Rooted: A place to study the bible, pray, and build friendships, all leading to deep discipleship, rooted in Jesus. Rooted is our small group for those aged meet from 7:30pm for coffee, tea, and cake, followed by a bible study and discussion, wrapping up with a time of prayer. Come and join us at Christianity Explored! Christianity isn't just a set of ideas, rules, or philosophies. At its heart, it's about a person to know - a person who shows us exactly what God is like, and what he thinks. Christianity is about Jesus Christ. Over seven sessions, Christianity Explored takes you through the Gospel of Mark - an eyewitness testimony about who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means for us today. We'll watch a short film together that will kick off the conversation, then continue it in our own groups. Come with your questions, but be��prepared - The answers may surprise you...
