On Saturday 6 June 2026 please support the Ramsbury D-Day 80 Committee as they recreate the journey of the American soldiers who arrived here in 1942 to prepare for the D-Day invasion. They will gather at Hungerford Train Station at approximately 10am on Saturday 6th June (D-Day) before setting off towards base camp in Ramsbury. Along the route they will be stopping at Littlecote House and Ramsbury Airfield, both important wartime locations. They are honoured to be walking alongside members of the 506th and 326th re-enactment groups, representing the American battalions once stationed in our area. Fundraising for two incredible military charities: Help for Heroes Murphys Army Local organisations joining us include the Hungerford Royal British Legion and local Scout groups.
