Join us at Patten’s Rock Quarry to clear back some of the small trees encroaching on the important limestone grasslands. Terrain: Steep and lots of steps Meeting Point: Coalbrookdale Community Centre, 2 Wellington Rd, Coalbrookdale, Telford TF8 7DX If you are not registered as a volunteer with the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust, but would like to get involved, please send an email to or call before booking! What you need to know All activities are subject to change at short notice due to inclement weather or other circumstances. Our minibus can take you to the site, picking up at 9.45am from Coalbrookdale Community Centre on Darby Road. Or you can meet on site(Volunteers are informed each week if we will be using the minibus) If you will be travelling in the minibus, please inform us in advance to ensure there are enough seats. Bring sturdy footwear (preferably steel toe-capped boots for practical activities), outdoor clothing, waterproofs, refreshments and packed lunch. We provide tea/coffee and biscuits in the morning break. We will provide tools, training, gloves, hard hats, goggles, hand sanitizer. Please use only the trust’s tools for insurance purposes. 16/17-year-olds will be asked to provide parental permission before taking part. Please check your Tetanus injections are up-to-date.
