Alpha Course

About this event

Welcome to Alpha at Haven Green Baptist Church. We plan to run the next course in early October. Please enter your details below and we will get in touch when we have fixed the dates. Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Each weekly session includes a video on the topic for the week, and a discussion where you can share your thoughts. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge. The course is on 10 Weeknight evenings starting at 7.30 pm and finishing by 9.30 pm. There is also part of one Saturday midway through the course. The Alpha evening starts with a simple meal, followed by videos on the topic of the day and finishing with a discussion. The full course covers the following topics: — Is there more to life than this? — Who is Jesus? — Why did Jesus die? — How can I have faith? — Why and how do I pray? — Why and how should I read the Bible? — How does God guide us? — Who is the Holy Spirit? — What does the Holy Spirit do? — How can I be filled with the Spirit — How can I make the most of the rest of my life? — Do can I resist evil? — Does God heal today? — Why and how should I tell others? — What about the Church?
