REMOTE Two British 23-year-olds, Ruben and Alex, make up remote, a Manchester-based duo known for their blend of alternative and bedroom/indie-pop. They first crossed paths in February 2020 during the closing weeks of Sixth Form, just before the pandemic. What began as a creative outlet soon became a lifeline: producing music remotely during lockdown not only shaped their sound but also gave the band its name. Influenced by artists such as Olivia Dean, FINNEAS, and Role Model, the pair have developed a style that seamlessly blends indie-pop, alternative, and singer-songwriter sensibilities.
