Speaker – Brian Johnson. Leicester was once world-famous for the size and quality of its boot and shoe manufacturing trade. Brian will be describing the origins and growth of the industry, leading to its eventual decline. He will also offer insights into the workplace of an industry in boom. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Free onsite parking.
