Friday 26th June : H IS FOR HAWK [12A] 119 mins – Drama Based on the memoir by Helen Macdonald, H is for Hawk follows Helen (Claire Foy), who, after the sudden death of her father (Brendan Gleeson), loses herself in the memories of their time birding and exploring the natural world together, and navigates her profound loss by training a wild goshawk named Mabel. But as she teaches Mabel to hunt and fly free, Helen discovers how deeply she has neglected her own emotions and life. What begins as an act of endurance transforms into an intimate journey of resilience and healing. Why see it? For Claire Foy’s powerful performance “Claire Foy has never been better” - The Times There will be an interval during the showing. Subtitles will be displayed too. All films are shown upstairs in Pelham Hall ( directions at page bottom) in the bar area. Doors open at 7.15 pm and films start at 7.30 pm prompt. There is a £7 per head entry fee, payable on the door (cash or card). The bar will be open too. Back to Film Night programme .
