About this event

Joseph Priestley is best known for his discovery of oxygen in 1774, but a very important period of his life was when he lived in Nantwich from 1758-1761 while still a young man and before his big discovery. His early life and time in Nantwich, where he was a school teacher and non-conformist minister at the Presbyterian chapel (now demolished) on Hospital Street, will be explored. The talk includes new research and images.
