Journey back to the Middle Ages at Corfe Castle with this immersive Medieval Life weekend. Meet Nichodemus the physician and his wife Ursula, whose work takes you deep into a world where medicine, religion and magic blur into one. Through lively performances and interactive storytelling, discover how people in medieval England understood time, law, money and medicine. Enjoy a programme of live shows throughout the day, including tales of sheriffs and medieval justice, the surprising importance of time and religion, and the frankly bonkers world of mad medieval medicine. Learn who you might turn to when you were ill, a doctor, a wise woman, the church, or something more mysterious. Between shows, drop into the Medieval Games Arena, open all day and packed with hands-on games inspired by the period. From simple challenges to more skill-based games, there's something for all ages. Ideal for families, history lovers and curious minds, this event brings the sights, stories and strangeness of the medieval world vividly to life at one of England's most dramatic castle ruins.
