About this event

Wee Duncan Room Whether you're already an avid builder, never picked up a LEGO brick before, or it's just been a while, join us and connect with others in a relaxed and friendly social setting. Our group is growing. We welcome new members each time. In addition to the creative benefits, building with LEGO can be therapeutic and a great tool to reduce stress and anxiety. Cost Although registration on Eventbrite does not require an online payment, there's a small cost of £1 per person to be paid at each session by cash or card. If paying by cash, it would be great if you could bring exactly £1 to save having to make lots of change. We also have a card machine available for card payments. This group is strictly for adults aged 16 and over. Recent LEGO article about the benefits of LEGO building for adults: Over the past few years, more and more people have been using LEGO® building to help them practice mindfulness. In 2019, we even teamed up with DK Publishing and the author Abbie Hendon to publish a self-help book entitled ‘Build Yourself Happy’, which contains more than 50 mindful LEGO building activities and tips. (We’ve featured some of our favorites below!) Yet despite the growing popularity of mindfulness, there remains some confusion surrounding it.
