Her captivating compositions straddle the jazz, soul and indie genres – with melodies that tug at the heartstrings. Insightful lyrics demonstrate her innate ability to address any topic with sensitivity, whilst Poppy’s profound affection for ballads enriches her contemporary musical creations. Singer, pianist and cellist Poppy Baker performed alongside progressive rock legend Rick Wakeman, Black Sabbath’s Adam Wakeman and the late great Bernie Marsden from Whitesnake, before deciding to study jazz vocals at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
