Join pianist, conductor and comedian Rainer Hersch for an evening that takes classical music far less seriously than it takes itself. Half German and half English, Rainer likes to joke that he'd love to take over the world – but he's far too polite. His hit show has sold out festivals around the world and was adapted into a six-part series for BBC Radio 4. Along the way, Rainer tackles some of life's most important musical questions, including Why is organ music so boring? What did Mozart steal from ABBA? And what do conductors actually do? Whether you're a classical music expert or can't tell a string quartet from a string vest, this show is for you. You might not learn anything, but you'll definitely laugh.
