A chance to learn the traditional skills of scything and meadows management, as part of a series of workshops and events around Cornwall to celebrate National Meadows Day. Refresh existing skills and learn more about traditional wildflower meadow techniques. Led by Tom from Scythe Kernow. Places are very limited, so please book early and contact us if you can no longer attend so that someone else can take the place. The event will happen rain or shine (unless there's a weather warning). There will also be family-friendly creative nature activities for all to join in throughout the day. The scything workshop is from 9:30am to 3:30pm - booking essential: The activities will run throughout the day - no need to book for these, just pop in. Both activities will be held in the meadow above Towan beach at Porth, near Portscatho.
