Deepdig: Alex Nut (4 Hour Set) // Blissy E (house, Broken Beat, Soul / Jazz, Global Grooves)

For our next DeepDig, we’re bringing in two of our absolute favourite DJs for a full-length journey that we’ve been quietly buzzing about for a while. Seven hours, start to finish, in the hands of artists we trust completely. ABOUT THE EVENT Alexander Nut stands as one of the UK’s most respected selectors, a DJ whose reach stretches far beyond genre or tempo. Rooted in the legacy of Plastic People, his sets move effortlessly through house, soul, broken beat, jazz, hip hop, reggae and beyond, always guided by instinct and deep musical knowledge. As the driving force behind Eglo Records, he’s helped shape the sound of modern UK underground music, with a catalogue that speaks for itself. Add to that decades on the airwaves, from Rinse’s pirate days to NTS, and you’re looking at someone who lives and breathes this culture. Joining him is blissy e, returning to Grow after a standout DeepDig appearance last year and a memorable close at our NYE party. She’s steadily building a serious reputation on the scene and feels like one to keep a close eye on. A selector full of warmth and feeling, she draws on soul, reggae, hip hop and funk, shaped by her Caribbean heritage and deep love of club culture. Whether on Noods, Melodic Distraction, Voices or Foundation FM, or playing everywhere from Jazz Cafe to We Out Here, she brings a sound that feels both timeless and alive. We’ve been waiting to get her back in the room. Expect a proper session.
