Repair Cafe

We are pleased to host a Repair Cafe alongside coffee, homemade cakes, community and repairs on Saturdays at St Mary's Church, Bearwood. We have skills in repairing household items, appliances and devices of all kinds – including domestic appliances (toasters, vacuum cleaners etc) but also pretty much anything else you can think of (toys, electronic items, battery-operated clocks, clock radios, textiles, etc). We are also happy to help with repairs to broken wooden, plastic and other similar items. Obviously we can't promise to repair everything, but we can promise to have a good look and do what we can, hopefully share some knowledge and a cup of tea as we do so. We can't help with items that need specialist skills – such as mobile phones with damaged screens or mechanical (ie wind-up) clocks although if in doubt do come and speak to one of our volunteers or send us an email. So if you have a broken appliance, electrical or electronic device please bring it along and we'll see how we can help. All our work is free of charge, and offered as service to the community by St Mary's Bearwood. We believe we should be good stewards of the earth God has given us, which means repairing, reducing, reusing and recycling resources. We also want to serve the community that we love, so we offer this service as a free gift. We might be able to repair your item, we might not; but we believe in a God who can restore, repair and renew every person and every situation.
