Our Hereford Flea Market, a large open air flea and collectors market set against the unique backdrop of Lyde Court’s airstrip in Herefordshire. Expect antiques, vintage, retro finds, collectables, furniture, vinyl, handmade goods, curios and unexpected treasures. Held just outside Hereford city centre, the market will be sure to attract visitors from across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and the Welsh borders. The market is primarily held on our spacious airstrip, giving it that classic open flea atmosphere. There is plenty of parking, on site refreshments with Lyde Court’s café open. Book a Stall! Illustration Workshop

Unleash your creativity. Have you ever wanted to illustrate a picture book but were not sure where to start? Or do you fancy designing your own greeting cards for family and friends? Then this workshop is for you; it is designed to help you get creative even if you think you are not artistic. With activities to help get you on your way, or just have a little arty fun. Located in the heart of Herefordshire and suitable for complete beginners, this workshop is designed to tap into your creative side and get you started in illustration. What’s included in the price? – A warm welcome to a creative, cosy setting & atmosphere. – Start-up materials are supplied; however, if you already have pens, felt tips, crayons or any other medium you’d like to use, please feel free to bring them along. Otherwise, just bring yourself! What to expect: – 10 am – Meet and greet. Getting to know each other. 10:15am – Quick talk about other illustrators – books to look at to get ideas. 10:30am – Cloud Exercise – to loosen you up 10:45am – Tea/coffee break 11:15 am – Design a basic character – thinking about shapes 11:45am – Storyboarding 12:15am – Finalisations Please note: Refreshments are not included in the price. However, Lyde Court has a wonderful tearoom with teas, coffees and an array of delicious cakes to purchase. Cancellation policy: Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 1 week before the course starts.
