About this event

Get ready for a full weekend of adventure at Crawfordsburn Activity Centre, from 18-20 September 2026. Designed for Explorer Scouts, this event gives young people the chance to get stuck into real survival scenarios in the outdoors. Working alongside experienced leaders and the Army, Explorers will build practical skills, learn to think on their feet, and grow in confidence as they take on new challenges. Across the weekend, participants will cover the requirements for the Explorers Survival Skills Badge as part of the refreshed Explorer programme. From shelter building and fire lighting to navigation, first aid and more, it’s all about learning by doing and giving it a go. This is a great opportunity to support your Explorer Unit to develop skills for life, teamwork and resilience in a fun and supportive environment. Cost: £40 per Explorer. Spaces are limited, so we’d encourage you to book early to avoid missing out.
