Christ Church Golf Day

Return of Christ Church Golf Day on Monday 29 June 2026 Good news for the golfing fraternity!  We are reviving this very enjoyable former annual 18-hole Tournament last played in 2019, open to any golfers who have an interest in Christ Church affairs and of particular interest to those who have competed in the past, regardless of handicap.  Shortlands Golf Club has been booked on the morning of the above date with Tee offs from about 9.15 am.   David Ghinn and Peter Dow are managing the event and expect to hear from you with contact email and telephone number as soon as possible, please, so that they can update you further about Tee-offs and the like. For players the Course Fee will be £30 with extra for tea/coffee and bacon rolls on arrival and for a buffet lunch which will be a further £15, making a total cost for the day of £45 per person.  Those with Shortlands membership will avoid the Course Fee.  Welcoming tea/coffee will be served from 8.30am up to 9.15am when the Competition starts. For non-players who wish to attend the buffet lunch they will be welcome to join in at a cost of £10 per person. After lunch the Vicar, Rob, has agreed to award prizes and give a short speech to the assembled.  The event will almost certainly be finished by about 4pm, but the Club bar will continue to be open for those who may wish to extend their stay.
