There are 10 bells at Sunderland Minster and a team has been established to ring once a month before the 5pm Service of Choral Evensong, and for weddings as requested. Groups of visiting bell ringers from around the country are also welcome to ring, by arrangement. Bell Ringing Practice takes place on the first Monday evening of every month. Once a month the Minster is filled with stalls selling vintage goods and a wide variety of crafts all made locally. There is jewellery, glass, knitted goods, woodwork, cards, gifts, sweets and loads more. FEAST

This informal service runs throughout most of the year, but takes a break in August. We begin, together, for singing and to hear the Bible (often presented in dramatic form) before choosing from a range of activities - quiet reflection, craft, Bible study in English or in Farsi. We then come back together, to share what we have done and learned, and some weeks we end with eating a simple lunch together.
