Try your hand at archery in the Walled Garden at Trelissick this Summer of Play. With a coach and volunteers on hand to show you the basics of handling a bow and hitting the target, you’ll be scoring bulls-eyes in no time! There'll be archery for all ages to have a go, including soft archery where appropriate. With different activities scheduled throughout the week there’s there are so many reasons to play on repeat at Trelissick this summer. Summer of Play activities are free (normal admission applies), so you can try them all and come back again and again. Dogs on short leads are permitted in the garden at Trelissick, keeping paws on paths. Summer of Play is supported by Pokémon.

Building Trelissick trail at Trelissick

This year we’re celebrating the story of Trelissick house from farmhouse to countryside estate in the new exhibition ‘Building Trelissick’. Try your hand at a series of activities that bring this story to life. You’ll design your own coat of arms, find your ideal career on the Trelissick estate and play games in the winding paths of the garden. Between 27 and 31 May the Victorian Falconers will be found on the West Lawn to demonstrate how the Victorians revived the ancient art of hawking for modern times. There’ll be flying demonstrations daily at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. When they’re not flying, you’ll be able to see the birds quietly at rest in the traditional Hawk Mews, open 10am-4.30pm. Pick up a free trail sheet from the welcome team to help you explore. Admission to Trelissick applies, dogs on short leads are welcome on the trail route.
