Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Sunrise The Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Sunrise Challenge is one of the UK’s most spectacular charity fundraising events, and on Saturday 11th July you can take part in support of Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity. Participants gather in the early hours at the foot of Wales’ highest mountain and set out on a guided night walk to the summit, perfectly timed to witness the sun rising over Snowdonia National Park. The adventure begins with a 1:15am meet time at Snowdon Mountain Railway Station in Llanberis. You’ll be welcomed and briefed by qualified Mountain Leaders before setting off along the Llanberis Path, the most popular and well-maintained route to the summit. Walking by head torch through the darkness, you’ll experience Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in a way few people ever do – quiet, atmospheric and truly unforgettable. As you climb, your guides will set a steady, achievable pace, ensuring everyone feels supported throughout the journey. You’ll take regular rest breaks, share the experience with fellow participants and build a strong sense of camaraderie as you work towards a common goal. As you approach the summit plateau, the first light of dawn begins to break.
