Biography Sir Jeremy Hunt is a son of an Admiral of the Royal Navy. He studied PPE at Magdalen Oxford and was President of the Oxford Conservatives. He has over a decade of experience working in government most recently as: Chancellor of the Exchequer; Foreign Secretary during the first Trump presidency; Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media & Sport; Secretary of State for Health & Social Care (the longest serving Health Secretary in the history of the NHS); and in 2025 Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer succeeded by Mel Stride. Sir Jeremy has also got a background as an entrepreneur. He has written books on health. Recently on foreign affairs with his new book ‘Can we be great again? Why a dangerous world needs Britain’.
