About this event

The vigil has grown out of conversations and planning amongst Friends from across Britain, supported by the national Faith in Action Team, and seeks to offer a visible, prayerful Quaker witness for peace in our current times. The walk will begin and end with Meeting for Worship and will take place silently and at a gentle pace. A circular route is planned (about 1.5 miles), beginning and ending in Victoria Embankment Gardens, with a pause midway for worship, likely outside St Martin-in-the-Fields. The vigil is intended to be family friendly, and children and young people are warmly welcome. Friends intending to come are encouraged to sign up via:  There is also an invitation for Friends who may be willing to help steward the walk. Final details will be confirmed nearer the time - please see Quakers in Britain website
