About this event

Come spend an afternoon at Birch Farm with Head gardener Josh Sparkes from The Collective at Woolsery looking at the beauty and joy of Food Forest gardening . Food Forests play a vital role in Birch Farms approach to resilience and Natural Farming . Josh will discuss the ability they have to heal the landscape and make an edible system that allows us to cohabit with our wildlife . Josh will discuss the design, management and plant choice in depth and give advice on how you can start your own food forest at home . There will also be a chance to try different edible leaves, vegetables, fruits and nuts as we tour the farm, along with some Food Forest herbal teas . With your workshop confirmation you receive 5% off throughout The Collective at Woolsery on the day; join us for lunch at The Farmers Arms, pick up supplies at J Andrew Shop. If you would like to make an evening of it, stay the night with us in one of our rooms or cottages and recieve 20% off! Contact us at with any questions or to book reservations across The Collective at Woolsery during your workshop visit.
