Bradford Cathedral is fortunate enough to have in its collection a number of beautiful, intricate and historically significant ecclesiastical textiles. Join our expert historian to tour the building and see these stunning textiles in situ- some that are rarely on display- and hear the fascinating stories behind them. Highlights include: Altar frontals and other textiles designed by Morris & Co. An altar frontal designed by renowned Bradfordian embroiderer, Louisa Pesel, that was recently showcased on BBC1’s Antiques Roadshow Works by Bradfordian artist Ernest Sichel Contemporary textiles designed by Polly Meynell We look forward to sharing these works of art with you. Light refreshments will be available after the tours.
