Cars at the Furnace

Our extremely popular monthly car rallies return for 2026. Held on the second Tuesday of the month, we welcome anyone with a vehicle who wants to come and show it to the world. We’ve had everything from a Model T Ford to the latest race-spec McLaren, mopeds to tourers, and even a Dalek! Even if you haven’t got a vehicle to show, you’re welcome to come along and enjoy the show! We have plenty of visitor car parking spaces. We will have food, a bar and ice cream to make it a great night out for the whole family. As always, we ask for donations on the door to support us and the Furnace Motor Club.

American War of Independence Weekend

We have a brilliant group of re-enactors coming to stage a weekend event all about the American War of Independence, which our very own Sir Francis Rawdon Hastings was part of! The weekend will consist of demonstrations, patrols, and even a skirmish, as well as the chance to learn about life in both the British and American armies.

Full Day Car Show

After the wonderful success of our first full day Car Show in 2024, we’ve decided to bring it back and move it up to June as we hope even more people will be able to come! We’ll be welcoming any vehicle that wants to visit, whether that’s motorbikes, cars, or even tractors. More information coming soon!

How will they ever escape? Can Old Mr Bunny come to the rescue in time? And whatever will Mr McGregor make of all those footprints in the flower beds? Michael Whitmore’s charming adaptation will have you spellbound so why not grab the kids, a blanket and a picnic and join Peter and Benjamin on their hair-raising adventures - a magical afternoon of fun for all the family.
