Are you looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend your time? Why not join our knit and natter group? Our event is open to everyone, including beginners who are just starting out. You don’t need to have any experience with knitting or crocheting to join us. Our friendly and experienced group of knitters will be happy to teach you the basics and help you get started! Not only is knitting a great way to relax and unwind, but it’s also a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Our knitting and natter event is the perfect opportunity to do just that. So why not come along and join us? We can’t wait to see you there!

Shared Reading Group

Shared reading Shared Reading brings people of all ages and backgrounds together through the enjoyment of listening to a short story, poem or extract from a novel being read aloud. Groups meet through national charity The Reader, which was launched more than a decade ago in Birkenhead. We enjoy a wide variety of texts, both classics and modern, pausing along the way to talk about what we’ve read and share any thoughts around it. There is no pressure on anyone to read aloud or to speak, you are welcome to just relax and listen. If you would like to come along or to find out more, please contact Judith at:  or enquire at the library. We meet on Tuesday afternoons from 2 – 3.30pm. There is no charge for coming to the group.
