About this event
Join us on Wednesday 22nd July, 6–8pm at Coastal Trail Café for a Traditional Crabbing Evening – and the launch of our brand new Plastic-Free Crabbing Line Recycling Scheme, in partnership with Till The Coast Is Clear. Sarah Dunn from TTCIC kicks off the evening with a talk on conscious crabbing – why our shore crabs deserve more care, and how plastic drop nets are ending up around seals’ necks in our river. Then we’ll head down to the embankment together for some proper, plastic-free crabbing. Borrow a FREE traditional wooden-and-twine crabbing line Return it after to be cleaned & reused by the next family Meet the new Coastal Trail Café Free, fun and family-friendly – all ages welcome.
